[verb]swish newsletter | Well I’ll Be #7

Yes people,

happy old year, a wee bit delayed getting the first [verb]swish newsletter of the year out to you. Life gets in the way sometimes; and sometimes the months blur. So what the heck, consider this the JanuBary edition (with a capital F).

Well I’ll be…

Loving…
what I do and doing what I love. Tuesday marks the beginning of a new era for me: That’s right I’m officially going full-tilt into the big, bad world of indie-creative artistry; developing things with TRANSTATIC, publishers of Selected Swishes and grace powered engine behind the soon coming album.
Heading…
back to Oxford for a show at Bar Copa on the 31st of January
Playing…
the swanky Cafe Suki, recently refurb’d japanese joint (think deep red, chesterfield leather seating… you lav it.)
on Feb 10th. More info
Swishing…
the curtain back on the shiny new website at verbswish.com. Shout out to Brian Gardner, knocking it out the park all the way from Chicago with the template inspiration for the new look.  He’s also a fellow indie-creative, recently taking the plunge into the indie world - big up.  You can make yourself at home and register for verbswish.com here. We’ve got some free tickets for upcoming gigs, folks who register today go into the hat. You know what to do;)
Interacting…
with you esteemed folks on We’ll I’ll Be: this newsletter is also now published on the blog part of verbswish.com -
so once your registered, g’head and leave your comments, love, suggestions, feedback; “tark-ta-me”
Rewinding…
a track that has already had heavy rotation on my system over Christmas. Foy Vance’s ‘Indiscriminate Act of Kindness particularly close to me heart, and rewind finger right about now. Saw him at Roundhouse after
the very well received, Polar Bear opened up for him: fantastic live sets from both. Other top tips to look out for are Andy Kyte, whose anthemic alternative indie tracks ‘Northern Line’ and ‘Motion’ had us stamping our feet and chanting at a recent impromptu gig in Camden: In short, he tore it up - check him out at http://myspace.com/andykytemusic.  Also look out for chromatic soulster, Tawiah (bbc worldwide best newcomer) who debuts long awaited EP in Feb.
Cracking…
open quite a few new books: Who moved my cheese?, The Art of War, Things Fall Apart and best of all so far, Bob Dylan’s Chronicles: Volume 1

Times they are a-changin. Probably Feb, might be March, might be online, might be a heart-to-heart,
but God willing, will see/speak to ya soon.
